The Painting

Pain demands to be felt. - John Green, The Fault in Our Stars

It is a good painting.

It is unique and beautiful.

But you sense that there is something like pain within the beauty.

We often find tears trailing our faces across situations in our daily lives.

The things that really shake the human soul are not beauty or kindness.

Although, such things are certainly moving, these feelings do not last long.

However, anger or sadness are different.

They leave an indelible mark even after the wounds heal.

You can never forget the pain completely.

Many people have felt the pain, but there are very few who can express it.

And many choose art for the same.

Furthermore, it is only those rare few who can bring out the pain in their paintings.

It is easy to exhibit technique and skill. Expressing emotion is not. It demands you to bear your soul to the world.

Any work of art has forever been inspired by what has been seen, observed or witnessed.

They figure out little miracles on the larger canvas of life, to translate its enigmatic beauty into a mystery that is often left unresolved.

In the end, it is only a great painting.
